The Emerging Leaders Group, ELG, is a professional community of early and mid career individuals working across the global semiconductor ecosystem.
ELG brings together rising professionals from GSA member companies to develop leadership skills, share career guidance, and participate in outreach programs that support engineering students and STEM organizations.
Participants come from both technical and non technical backgrounds. ELG welcomes all career paths within the semiconductor industry.
Build a peer network that crosses companies and regions
Support outreach to students and community organizations
Encourage well rounded professional growth
ELG is currently based in the Central Texas area as the program launches. At this time, most in-person connect events and activities are coordinated locally. As the group grows, ELG plans to expand participation to additional regions.
ELG creates programs that help rising professionals develop practical leadership skills.
Opportunities to practice moderating panels
Public speaking and facilitation experience
Collaboration with peers from other companies
ELG connects members with each other to share advice and guidance.
Volunteer participation at GTI University Programs
Judging technical competitions and poster sessions
Partnering with community STEM organizations
The following activities are planned for the coming year.
Ask Me Anything session with the Girl Scouts of Central Texas
ELG outreach events at universities
ELG Connect Mixers bring together peers
Professional development workshops for ELG members
ELG members are already contributing in visible ways:
Attended and supported the University of Texas at Austin campus program
Judged the student poster session competition at the Texas A&M GTI University Program event
The ELG Leadership Committee plans group programming, coordinates outreach, manages communications, and organizes ELG Connect events.
